Today’s Modern Poland



Under the patronage of her Excellency Ms. Aleksandra Bukowska-McCabe-the Representative of the Republic of Poland to Palestine, a number of respected Consuls and representatives in Palestine; Today's Modern Poland" exhibition was opened at Singer Cafe in Beit Sahour. This exhibition was arranged by the Polish Representative Office in partnership with Palestinian photographer Elias Halabi, the exhibition features some of the pictures Elias took last year during his visit to Poland.


Like Palestine; Poland have lived through division, War, bloodshed, several occupations, revolutions and victories. Since the end of the Second World War, and after near-total destruction, Poland picked it self up, rebuilt what was destroyed from its ancient buildings to its pre-war appearance. In Parallel with reconstructing Poland, Poles constituted a democratic and modern country in the middle of Europe.
